Composed of rappers Tek and Steele whose career began more than three years ago when they operated as the popular rap/pop underground crossover duo, Smif-N-Wessun. Da Cocoa Brovaz have returned to the rap circuit with 1998's The Rude Awakening. This Duck Down/Priority Records release, described as the sequel to their 1995 Smif-N-Wessun release Dah Shinin', features appearances by Professor X, Eek a Mouse and Raekwon, and establishes the young duo as some of the industry's most lethal rhymers.
